A LITTLE ABOUT ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS

Your engagement session is about more than creating beautiful photographs—it's about celebrating this season of your life together. Without the timeline of a wedding day, we have the freedom to slow down, explore somewhere meaningful, and create images that feel natural, relaxed, and completely authentic.

Whether we're wandering the beaches of Encinitas, exploring the cliffs of Torrey Pines, or strolling through your favorite neighborhood, the goal is always the same: photographs that feel like you.

WHY THEY MATTER

One of the greatest benefits of an engagement session has nothing to do with the photographs.

It's our chance to get to know one another before the wedding day. You'll see how I work, learn that you don't have to know how to pose, and discover just how comfortable being in front of the camera can be. By the time your wedding arrives, we'll already have a rhythm together, allowing you to relax and simply enjoy every moment.

WHAT TO WEAR

The best outfits are the ones that feel effortless.

Soft textures, neutral colors, layers, and clothing that moves naturally in the breeze always photograph beautifully. I encourage couples to wear something they genuinely feel confident in rather than something that feels overly formal or trendy. My goal is for your photographs to feel timeless twenty years from now.

CHOOSING THE PERFECT LOCATION

Southern California offers an incredible variety of landscapes, and together we'll choose a location that reflects your personalities.

Whether that's golden cliffs overlooking the Pacific, quiet beaches at sunset, coastal trails, rolling fields, modern architecture, or your favorite local coffee shop, the setting should feel like part of your story—not just a backdrop.

More importantly, it's a chance for us to get to know each other before the wedding day.  You'll see how I work, discover that being photographed can actually be fun, and walk into your wedding feeling completely comfortable in front of my camera.  By the time your wedding arrives, I'll feel less like a vendor and more like a familiar face, allowing you to relax and simply enjoy every moment.
